Budapest is a breathtakingly beautiful city that requires more than just one day to reveal you all its beauties. If, however, you can have just one day here and if you make some good planning ahead of that, you can still manage to see a great deal of the city sites. One great advice to follow is to choose the city center area when browsing the
This photo of Budapest apartments in Budapest. Most of the landmarks in the city are possible to be reached by walking and there are many pedestrian zones in the center, which make the sightseeing very pleasant. Thus, put on your comfortable shoes and start exploring the city of Budapest, but try to enjoy yourself and not be overwhelmed by your plans. After all, you can come back for a longer stay some other time.

The first thing to start with is to have a good breakfast and coffee in order to have enough strength to cover all the landmarks on your list. Then you can visit the Castle District, where a lot of walking is required. The district is placed on a hill at the Chain Bridge end in Buda region. The entire district is included in the World Heritage Site of UNESCO and presents many beautiful buildings from the medieval and Baroque time. The streets are cobbled-stoned and there are many paths that wind around the hill and make the area even more romantic. Travelers should note that a rather inexpensive and very convenient way is to see the main sites of Budapest by going on a Hop On and Hop Off Bus Tour, which comes with an audio guide, offered in several languages. Now, the sites to be visited in the Castle Hill District include the first permanent bridge of Budapest, the Royal Palace, the National Gallery, the Fisherman’s Bastion with its terrace overlooking the city and the Matthias Church.

The places that should be seen in the center of Pest area, include the Parliament Building which is set by the Danube River banks, the Basilica St. Stephen, the Great Synagogue with the Jewish Museum, as well as the Faculty of Humanities at the Eotvos Lorand University. Among the other great sites are the State Opera House, which is considered among the most beautiful opera houses in the world; the House of Terror, which is a museum from the Nazi time and the Communist era, as well as the Ernst Museum,, which shows contemporary Hungarian art. In case you need some rest, choose the City Park, which is placed in one of the most beautiful districts of Pest. For some shopping one should go to the Fashion Street, where are set some of the famous fashion brands.
In Budapest city are available plenty of nice restaurants and small fast-food shops, as well as a number of good cafes, cozy bars and lively dance clubs. My recommendation would be to try the local cuisine and in case you still have time to go for a dinner at one of the ship restaurants that reveal lovely views towards the river Danube.
